I guess that I will start with my commentary on the Grammy Awards...Kanye West never seems to let me down with his acceptance speeches, Tina Turner was hot in her tight silver outfit, I love Cyndi Lauper - always have, always will, I hate the Foo Fighters - always have, always will, and Amy Winehouse has the best friggin' hair ever, plus I love her voice and her skinny little legs. I think that that about sums it up.
Today, well, today was just one of those days. It started out great. I got up early, ordered my new camera and a lens online, did my makeup, put on my new cute $4 shirt from Target, curled my hair (loved it). Then...a sick little munchkin, canceled but much needed therapy, crazy mailings at work, no childcare for French group, basic life frustration, only a few tears and really it wasn't all that bad. Today will soon be yesterday and it wasn't that bad but it was just one of those days where really maybe all you are supposed to do is just sit on the couch, watch Toy Story and knit baby hats. What is is as Byron Katie says. And I'm not quite there yet but I am trying my darnedest to learn to love it.
And happy birthday Jessie - my oldest friend and my due date twin, who was born on Shilo Road, and decided to jump forward early into this life while I wasn't quite so sure and waited it out just a little bit longer in my warm, safe shelter.

Hey, just a little comment on your day...I HAD A LOT OF FUN watching my little granddaughtie even for just a few hours. I totally loved it that she wouldn't say I made the BEST oatmeal ever, even though she was very fair and said it was as good as the best she has had. And I even thought for a moment that I should have her up here more often.
OK... the other thing you forgot to mention about Jessie is that she came a bit early into this world BUTT first. Now that is one smart kid who was using her head!
Happy birthday to Jessie...I totally can't believe you two are 30 years old.
Well, I just read you blog and thanks for the birthday wishes. So far I have to say that 30 is great! By the way, Butt first is the best way to enter the world and really the best way to deal with any new situation! Plus, it's got the most padding. By the way, for those of you who don't know, I was born on SHILOH road. But, Chieko may have mentioned that before...
Yep, I agree that BUTT first is way better than anything. Why use our hard skulls, when our soft buttocks can find the way?
Even last year when I drove from Santa Cruz to Ukiah and passed Shiloh Road, I had to say "Jesse was born on Shiloh Rd."
And the weird thing is, is that there is a Shiloh Rd on the way to Billings, and I have to catch myself to not say this even there. Maybe that is called OCD???
