The Weather

Unless you have lived in a place where it gets to 14 below feeling like -30 with the windchill factor or where it could snow in the middle of July, you might not understand the prime place that the weather holds in every conversation between everyone at any given time on any given day. Tonight it happens to be 4 below and I am praying to the gods of cars and cold weather and anything else that my car will start in the morning. I know that this must be riveting to everyone, so I will be sure to keep you posted. Feel free to pray for my car too.

I have had a request for this photo to be posted on the blog - so here it is - from Jess and Joe's amazing wedding, where I was lucky enough to have Tiffany as my date and get to reconnect with some wonderful old friends from high school.

The shoes. It is always all about the shoes...

These are just a couple of pictures that I took at Pam's place. Her family was kind enough to be my subjects in order to practice portrait-taking. I know that Pam hates this first picture of her but I love it. I don't think she even knew I was taking it.

I have an addition of my own to the baby name challenge - Penelope Piesnack and how about Olivia Slag?

Hurray for you! Now I'm inspired to update my own sadly neglected blog.
Regarding the weather and cars, I got stuck in a drift in my own driveway on Sunday and it took an hour to dig out and finally John had to tow me out. I'll probably have to park out on the main roal and walk to the house until April.
Hey, I actually do like that picture of me. It reminds me to pay attention to my posture so I don't end up with a dowager hump and boobs down to my waist.
The temp has come up to 20 or so, so hopefully your car will start up. Cheers!

well, first of all, is a dowager hump really related to posture or some other form of weird old age degeneration or better yet some genetic weird frickin' abnormality? Boobs down to the waist...totally working on that, I am and why not?...must be kind of how guys feel to gave their nuts clicking against thighs...oops, TMI, for sure...
Chiki - who are the guys in the photo from Jess' wedding? One looks just like John...shit they are probably some dudes whose births I was at.
In Van Morrison fashion, I am still voting for Slick Slag Slider...
adios...may all our cars start and stay on the road, unless of course, we want them off the road and don;t really want to go to town that day. Here's to a real Montana winter, with all the suicidal craziness of wind and cold. Keep your ears on and warm, and belly up to the fire...soon the days'll be so hot and long, we'll be craving the bed and fire and long cold nights.
