Here are some photos I took of Heather's new baby girl right before they left for New Jersey. I am looking forward to taking more of the entire family sometime in the Spring.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!!!!!
Last night we opened a few of our presents since we can do that because we don't have anyone around telling us we can't! Amélie opened her Skippy Jon Jones stuffed animal. He is one of her favorite storybook characters - a Siamese cat who thinks he is a Chihuahua. I like him too because when I read the book I get to speak with a Spanish accent.
Handmade legwarmers and a grumpy girl.
Red toes are the only way to go for Christmas. This morning Amélie and I made cinnamon rolls from scratch. They were delicious and lots of fun for both of to make. We had a wonderful Christmas morning just the two of us.
Does anyone like see-food?
I hope that everyone is surrounded by love and joy today. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Happy Halloween
Keith has the kids for halloween this year so I won't get to see them in their costumes or take them trick-or-treating. I did however convince (without much difficulty) Amélie to put her costume on last night so that I could take some pictures. Here are a few of those.
The beautiful ballerina.
The shadow of our bloody window decorations spelling "beware"!
Today has been a total blast. Melanie and I decided to dress up for work. Melanie wore her wedding dress and I wore my prom dress and of course we had to take pictures.
Then I went to Amélie's school for historical halloween where the kids have to dress up as an historical figure and give a report that they have written. Amélie was Helen Keller and she did an amazing job. She read her entire report without any help. I did not wear my prom dress to the school but my hair was still done up and I was wearing some heavy (read whorish) makeup. Keith and his girlfriend were there and I wonder if they think I just look like that all the time now. Maybe they went home thinking they need to start stepping it up a notch at school functions! Happy Halloween everyone.

Chris and Robin's wedding in California
One of my good friends from high school, Robin, got married to her long time boyfriend, Chris, last month in a beautiful spot in California. I was lucky enough to be asked to be the official photographer. I will have all of the photos color corrected and uploaded somewhere soon but for now here is a little peak at the day. Robin was absolutely gorgeous and I loved her hot pink shoes! Thank you Rob and Chris for letting me be a part of such a special day.
Happy Birthday Miss Amélie!
Amélie turned 6 last Wednesday. Here are a few pictures of the birthday girl with her new pink flamingo watering can. It is almost impossible for me to believe that it has been six years since my little girl was born. I know that I am her mom but really she is just as beautiful and infectiously happy and brilliant now as she was when she was a baby. She amazes me constantly every day.
Jessie, you should be happy now - you aren't the last post anymore!

I won't cut fresh flowers for you
Jessie is leaving me in just a few days. As a way of trying to say thank you to her for everything she has done for me this summer I convinced her to let me torture her for a few hours by taking her portraits. Here are just a few of the many photos.
We had a lot of fun taking them and I think that maybe secretly Jessie has always wanted to be a supermodel because she knew just how to pose every time!
She did eventually force the camera on me to give me a taste of my own medicine.
And of course we had to take a timer shot of both of us.
If you want to see what we have really been up to this summer you should check out Jessie's blog which I have a link to. She is much better about posting and has fairly thoroughly documented the major events of Livingston Summer '08. I'm sure once she is gone and the dust has settled I will have much more time to write about my thoughts and feelings over the last two months. But right now all I can say is that having Jessie here has been more than I could ever ask for. We have laughed (more than I have in years) and cried (not as much as I have the last few years) and giggled and been oh so silly. It has been therapeutic and wonderful. I have met people I never would have met and have just had more fun than I thought possible. As soon as Jessie leaves I am pretty sure I can just go straight into hibernation. I know at least food-wise I should be set for the long Montana winter without eating another bite! And yes Jessie, I will always cut fresh flowers for you.

Kindygarten Graduation
Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been spending a lot of my time in weddingland these days. I have also been blessed with Jessie's company for the last month plus and have been trying to take full advantage of it. It is serious business celebrating being 30 all year long and really takes a lot of energy! We have decided though to continue the celebration on to 31 next year. After all, you are only 31 once. The rest of what has been occupying my time, space, being is too arduous and unpleasant to go into here. You can all read about it in my memoirs one day. But back to celebrating being 30 and did I mention single? Not officially of course but close enough to be celebrated. For now, let's look at some photos of Amélie's Kindergarten Graduation...
Here she is, the Kindergarten graduate who knows how to tie her shoes and can almost ride her bike with no training wheels. My beautiful Gigi is in New Jersey right now visiting her grandparents. I am sure she is getting spoiled rotten and having the time of her life but I sure do miss her.

Gigi turns 10 tomorrow
The very first time I met Logan was on her third birthday, seven years ago tomorrow. She made me pretend to sleep on her grandma's couch and would get mad every time I tried to get up. She was a beautiful little girl with a lot of hurt and anger and sadness. And now she is about to turn ten and has grown into an even more beautiful big girl with a truly happy smile and a spirit like no other. I look forward to watching her grow into an amazing woman. I can't imagine my life without her. Happy birthday Gigi!
